Ljubljana & other

Here are some comments about the latest show, plus other tour highlights from...
LORRAINE: Holy cow... is Ljubljana (Dec 1st) ever beautiful!!! We had a bit over an hour to walk around the town and do some shopping (unique souvenirs). Last night we played on an old military compound turned into a cultural mecca!!! A night club, a bar, many artist studios (painters, musicians, etc.) and the former prison was turned into a hostel. Each cell was redecorated by local artists... The show itself was oversold by about a hundred people, so there you were, 400 in a small concrete box with the sweaty roof and condensation dripping down the walls, not to mention our instruments!!! We played with The Toasters (NYC) and a local opener Red Five Point Star. The kids ate it all up and LOVED every second of the show! Last week, Mike & Christian placed a bet on PlayStation 2 NHL 2004, the loser has to wear tights for one whole day! There's a cold going around the van so sniffling and coughing has been rampant! Doreen Shaffer came looking for me backstage in Munich 'where's my friend' to say she had heard a bit of our set in Leipzig and 'you should keep going' and then after our set, she thanked me for my dedication to her. All the Skatalites were so friendly and in a good mood.
I've never breathed in as much smoke as in the past two weeks. Everyone and their children here smoke cigarettes. When we tell them about non-smoking clubs they think we're nuts! They can't fathom the thought of not being allowed to smoke.
MITCH: Thanks to Jeff (Toasters) for sharing his Jaggermeister's and stories of Dr. Ring Ding. Enjoyed comparing touring vehicles! Our Mercedes Sprinter and their full sized tour bus... NHL Hockey Tournament delayed another day. Raz demonstrated his sexual prowess by showing us how to talk up a girl and then lose her at the end of the show.
RAZ: Great night in Munich a few nights ago opening up from the legendary Skatalites. Fun times grooving all night and hearing stories about "back in sixties Jamaica"; courtesy of Vin Gordon (Studio One trombone legend). His anecdotes on happiness were quite entertaining. Ljubljana was a great night with NYC's Toasters and a beautiful day today walking thru the city where Mike and LoLo demonstrated a true phenomenon on how to purchase as many wooden souvenirs as possible! Our NHL tournament is soon to begin, updates on our game scores are soon to come. Bring it on Doner!
